Wow, so it's been, what, like a week since I last blogged? Man I'm slacking. Well, actually not really, because I've been pretty busy lately since it is the last three weeks I have left of high school and there is tons of stuff to be done (i.e. last minute projects/papers/tests/studying/collegestuff). Yeah. So much planning and finishing and stressing. Ergh. But soon summer will be here and I will be FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! :D

I made nachos yesterday, you know with the salsa and the eight thousand different types of cheese and the big crunchy tortilla chips. Muy delicioso. And today my grandma brought a huge bag of ooey gooey peanutbutter fudge. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.........WOO CALORIES AND STUFF!!!!!!!!

GRADUATION
Oh my goodness I cannot WAIT until May 21st because that is the day I finally GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL!!!!! YYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! Ugh. The next month is going to be the worst 28 days of my whole life. :P

Okay, so I've been trying for days, DAYS, to upload new photos, but every time I try a box comes up that says, "Sorry, could not upload your photo at this time." EVERY SINGLE TIME. I tried different pictures, I tried deleting some of my old pictures, I've tried different times of the day, etc. But it NEVER works. At first I was angry, but now I'm just sad. :(

I wonder why cats like to stare out of windows so much. It's like, alright, there's the outside world kitty, now what? You give them the opportunity to sneak out and they're too finicky to even put one paw on the porch. Talk about issues.

I'll never cease to be amazed by Ohio weather. On Wednesday it was warm and sunny. On Thursday it rained all day. On Thursday night it snowed four inches. On Friday it was warm and sunny. Yesterday it was even warmer and sunnier. And today, it's cold and rainy. I'll bet tomorrow it's 90 degrees and then the next day it snows again. You gotta love the midwest.

the small things
They always say that the little details are the important ones, and it's nice that now I realize how true that statement is. The warmth of home isn't in the cost of your house, it's in the little candles on your fireplace mantle that your mother thought looked good with the drapes. It's in the gentle meow your cat greets you with when you come home from vacation or the grocery store. It's in the soft lull of your brothers' voices as they watch basketball in the living room, and the gratitude you feel when you see how lucky you really are to have a roof over your head when it's thirty degrees and raining outside. I think it takes an adult's mind to know how you should feel, but it takes a child's mind to actually feel it.

I've started a new art project! YAY! I have to illustrate a magazine article, and my article is about whether killer whales should be kept in captivity or not. Since I've been doing NOTHING except colored pencil drawings for the Governor's show, I've become rather well-versed in their technique. So my illustration is going to be of a killer whale trapped in a bubble, because bubbles can be easily popped. (Check yes for symbolism!!!! :D) Boy I love art, and the art-making process, and art class, and thinking about art, and dreaming about art, and looking at other people's art. I think I just got chills! Oh, and yes, the picture on my profile IS my real face, you know, in case anyone cares. ;)

The weather is sooo gorgeous right now! Perfect little puffy clouds in a blue blue sky, a blissful 60 degrees, and a hint of summer in the air!!! Goodness I love admiring the weather. Especially storm clouds. Those are pretty ridiculous (in a good way). Shout out to all you Ohioans out there exploring this small universe Owl City has created!!! ;)

i never know the rules
Okay. So. You know how you sometimes put multiple exclamation points at the end of a sentence, you know, if you're really excited about something? And you know how in Spanish you put an upside-down exclamation point at the beginning of a sentence? Right. So if you put multiple exclamation points at the end of a Spanish sentence, would you have to put multiple upside-down ones at the beginning? (And DON'T ask me how I came up with this question. That's just what happens when it's midnight and you're light-headed because you've had a cold for the past three days)

There is this boy in my Government class who is very funny and sweet, and overall just a really good person. His mom unexpectedly died Monday morning, and since his father was never really a part of his life and his brother lives on his own, this boy is now basically an orphan. My only question is: Why? Why do these things happen to the people who least deserve them?

I've decided that my favorite part of the Winter Olympics opening ceremony was the part with the boy gliding over the stadium floor on the harness, above the prairie. It was spectacular, and the whole time I was thinking about how breathtaking it would be if I could fly.

I'm pretty indifferent in regards of my feelings towards Valentine's Day. If you're in a couple, that's wonderful, have a nice romantic night out with your special person. And if you're single, cheer up. It's just one day you have to be reminded that you're independent enough to be flying solo, and there's nothing wrong with that. :)

oh goodness...
I had a stressful day today. First, my parents are forcing me to choose between two vacations, a cruise to the Bahamas or a trip to a resort in Cancun, Mexico. Secondly, my mother was absolutely LIVID with me because I helped the neighbors shovel their driveway but didn't shovel ours. And thirdly, I'm now aware that my grandmother is teetering on the edge of a gambling problem. Oh well. At least I didn't have school today.
